Using a spell wrong.

What would happen if a male cast a spell that only worked on females? I think it would fail, but I'd like to hear other ideas.

No, magick is energy and both genders hold energy, so no. Learn what magick is and isn't and questions like this would be answered by common sense. Blessed be.

No, a spell will work for you no matter what gender you are. If a spell is labeled "girls only" or "boys only", it's most likely not a real spell.

Magick is Energy so it don't matter if you are a Girl or a Guy and I think its good that you asked a Question when you wanted to know something because it proves your trying to learn don't be discourged when it comes to asking question's by other people.

Magic is not gender specific. It is working with the universal energies to essntially push a desired effect to happen within the realm of reality. It matters not what race, faith, age, gender, skin color(which is regarding on meltonin and positioning of the sun where your ancestores lived), or anything which can be assigned a sterotypical that you or someone may be. That has nothing to do with it.

Ultimately it comes down to your belief and experience whether magic works or not.

I think I disagree with some of the responses to this question. I do not think a spell would necessarily fail if it were cast by a male on females.

I could see a male wanting an only female response to a love spell that he cast. Its absurd to me to actually think that some one could not cast a generic spell towards just one sex or another. Especially since its common practice to have ones altar dedicated to both the male and female aspect deities. After all in Wicca we have The Sun and The Moon. We have symbolism for both female and male...mountains, birds, trees, water...black, white,...rocks and plants...

I do not understand why you would expect it to fail as long as it does not harm anyone. I think it would be worse if you sought a result from a spell in vain and fruitlessly.
