Age and magic?

I have a friend who's trying to do magic. They're 12 years old, and none of the spells or rituals are working them. Is this because they're under 13?

nope, age doesn't matter. But what matters is do they even know what they are doing ?

Age doesn't matter as lomg as you understand how to make a spell work do they even know how to cast a spell?

Personally, I think age does matter to a degree. As we age are brains become more developed intellectually and that development allows us to better process and understand information. So,a twelve year old could study and practice magic, but I don't think they'd have as good of an understanding as an adult who is trying to do the same.

I would tell your friend just to study and understand magick as much as possible before trying to cast. Take me for example, I got into magick when I was 12 as well but I had the hollywood magic in my head and that's what I was looking for, after finding out the hard way the truth, I found myself still interested. I have been (and still am because I still don't fully understand somethings) studying magick before casting. Also I would recommend that your friend practice casting with very simple spells. :) Hope I helped for I'm still kind of a Newbie :P

"Age is but a mortal number", it doesn't decide and measure our knowledge. Studying and practicing decides our knowledge, it expands our minds, it shows us truth, but you can't learn something and be able to gain understanding on how they work within a day.
