Spells in different ways?

I have read about several spells over and over again but in different places and I noticed something.. Is there different ways to do one single spell?

Like for example, I have found about 3 different spells to open your third eye, and a couple more..

Theres always going to be many spells to do the same thing. Everyone is different and everyone is going to come up with their own way of doing things. Also what doesn't work for one person might work for another. So take advantage of it because if one spell doesn't work for you, you have another to choose from.

Okei, I just wanted to be sure since Im new to these stuff.. So I wanted to make sure that some of them arent just for fun, if you know what I mean.. :P
