I usually dry my herbs and flowers by hanging them up or pressing them between books. It really depends on what you're working with, so I recommend experimenting and seeing what works best. Personally I like to hang lavender and rosemary but press roses.
Also you can dry herbs by slow cook them in the oven. Its have to be 100°-200° slowly cooked for like a hour, but check on them every 15 minutes. Make sure the herbs are seprately with aluminum foil to keep them from sticking together.
I don't recommend using the oven. Hang them in a well ventilated, preferably dark and dry place. You want to avoid bright light, strong smells, and humidity.
Oh also if you put them in bunches, then punch some holes in a paper bag and hang them upside down and slide the paper bag over them that works great. It catches any leaves that fall of in the drying process and helps to keep out light.
i dry most of mine my hanging them in my room. it makes it smell awesome and i like how it makes my alter feel being in the same room with them. i need to try pressing them now thats a great idea
