besom staff

could you dual purpose a besom into a wand/staff and use it for both casting circles and getting rid of negative energy ?

Generally the besom is used to rid negative energy anyway by "sweeping it away", although I see no harm in it being used to cast a circle as well. Maybe you could attacth come kind of point at the top to signify the tip of a wand, or attach ribbons near the top so it indicates to you that this part of the staff is the wand aspect for casting the circle with.
