The oil will probably contain the same ingredients you've seen in the recipes, however they are added to a base oil (olive oil, almond oil, etc) that has some type of preservative in it to keep the herbs from decaying. They are then left to sit for a period of time varying by recipe.

From what I've researched and been able to deduce, you can make hotfoot oil using the powder(s) and a carrier oil. Mix well the different powders in a hotfoot powder recipe, then put them in a carrier oil (preferably an oil with hardly to no scent or taste like veggie or extra virgin olive oil) and let it soak in a dark, cool place for at least seven days - hence the reason you shouldn't use coconut oil because it turns solid.) Then, if the oil has the desired strength of smell you want, strain it thru cheesecloth into a clean bottle or container. If it doesn't have the desired "potency," strain it and add fresh powder(s) to the base oil, and, let it sit for a few more days. Jojoba oil is an excellent carrier oil, also, because it has properties in it which help to retard spoilage of your oil. I, myself, wouldn't recommend heating the oil because of fire danger!!! Hope this helps!!!

The recipe for hot foot powder is;
-chili powder
-red pepper
-black pepper
-sulfur
all added to a base of cornstarch.

The recipe for the oil is to mix the ingredients together without the cornstarch. Added to a carrier oil to sit for a while then strain it to leave only oil.

Like power said it is made from those ingridents but if you dont have sulfur its okay not to use it. Also if you dont have chili pepper just use red pepper

I have a recipe that includes graveyard dirt. There is a cemetery nearby. However, I don't know much of anything about anyone buried there. I am afraid of acquiring it from the wrong grave for the wrong purpose. It doesn't seem right going to just any grave.

Is it safe to assume I can make the powder without GD?

You can definitely make hot foot powder without Graveyard Dirt. Graveyard Dirt is a method to connect to spirits of the dead and is rarely ever used for anything else.
