Runes

If I make my own runes, does it matter how I make them? I have an enchanted stick (not a wand by any means, more of a writing tool), and I was planning to write them on pieces of wood. Would the life force of the wood ruin the Runes? Or make them more powerful? Thanks for reading.

Considering wood and stone were the main mediums for runes historically, I don't think it would diminish them. I can't say for empowering the runes or not as the runes were the focal point, though that is up to your personal experience and preference.

I agree. But you have to feel it, if I had an enchanted stick, and touched a rock with it, I do not think power would go through the rock. So, visualize it in your mind. Will it, will it to go into your rune.

It certainly won't ruin the runes.

Usually making your own runes is as simple as slicing wood into small pieces before either carving or writing the runic alphabet onto the wood. When this is being done it is important to think about the wood you are using and its magickal proporties, some wood is more useful if you are using runes for a specific purpose, like love castings, etc, while others are more suited to all round use.

When making the runes it is imporant to make them with the intent of using them for divination purposes, this can help them reach their potential.

I hope your runes go well.

Using wood instead of stone will only affect how long will those runes last before they become too worn out to be used and nothing else.
