Not Sure If I Did Or Not.

So, last night, I kept having really vivid dreams all night. When I woke up, I did a reality check and found out that I was still dreaming. It was really weird because it felt so real. Anyways, I knew that I was dreaming, but since it felt so real, I figured that I could easily get into astral projection. So, I tried to roll over, but as soon as I did, I woke up. I am not sure if I woke up for real that time or not, but I don't really know what happened. If somebody can let me know, it would be appreciated. Thank you so much!

This is quite common, being half asleep and half awake, with a dream "carrying over" into wakefulness.

I agree. Astral projection feels quite different (eg you may see yourself sleeping/ your physical body) and it is better if it occurs when you re awake so you can control it. Moreover astral projection and lucid dreaming are very different. If you succeed trust me you will be sure. An out of body experience, especially the first one remains unfrorgetable. Sometimes it takes a while... I wish you luck. Keep practicing.
