Hey guys!

I just wanted your opinion on this. Do you think a beginner really needs a witchcraft teacher or is it fine just to build knowledge with experience?
I want to be an independent witch, or electic witch as they say.

I have been reading a lot, studying and doing a lot of research, and I've come to realise that I tend to pick my own ideas and beliefs, not wanting to follow any religion, so finding the right teacher for me would also be hard.

What do you guys think?

You don't need a teacher, many feel it helps. If there's a specific path like British Traditional Wicca then yes, but if you're eclectic and forming your own path you don't necessarily need a teacher. If young come across someone willing and able to help you, go for it, but you can simply read books and practice. Whatever works best for you really.

Hey. If you are an electic witch and prefer making your own path, then you are rather your best teacher. However it would be good if you found somebody with similar beluefs to assist you. There are moments when you may be stuck, and a second opinion may just get you out of there.

Instead of looking for a teacher, look for a friend that can help without necessarily calling him/herself that. At a moment, they may become one and the same thing for you ;)
