Kao hmmm i m not sure to agree with you dont take my wrong like i have something against u but when i think better a stupid man can win world with silence because if he doesnt speak someone might think he thinks his words are too wise for them...and when a dumb man speaks everyone laughs :)
on contrary when a wise man speaks many listen and respect that words greatly :)
I meant it along the lines that i wise man needs to use now words to get his message across, he need not speak, he need not move, all he need to do is set a thought into motion, mystics have been doing this for centuries, including Buddha himself, often more is said in silence than in screams.. ;)

O_O I was going to say..A wise man once upon a time said nothing since by talking made him one more from the stupid crowd.. or something like that.. ^_^ since wisdom is abstract for the most time people never knows what the wise man said since for the most time he says nothing.

unforntely this world can no longer hear words,screams of wise people,not notice silence but hear only yappin of "celebrities" :)
It is not really a discussion if there is not point of similarity found..O_O In either case, every person can be wise when being quite but when we talk they might say more nonsense that can be comprehend.. ^_^ A joke..
One time a man wanted to find the meaning of life.. and he heard a wise man lived in a very high mountain and there was no way to get there with a help of an airplane or car or anything that can assist. The only possible way was to climb the mountain. So, he decided to go and see this wise man.. he climbs the mountain and each time he rolled down from it and he kept on trying.. until he got to the top all messed up, bleeding and what not.. he was very injured.. but he sees the wise man.. and ask "Wise man, what is the meaning of life?" the wise man looks at him in silence. The man asks again "wise man, please tell me I trouble from far away to know the answer from a wise man with such reputation as yours.. please answer me" so the wise man smiles and says "The meaning of life my friend, is a tea cup" And the man looks at him with a blank stare and then starts insulting the wise man, and yelling " WHAT THE HELL? WHAT? " So, the wise man says "then it is not a tea cup?"
O_o well, my point is that probably not every one will agree with a wise man, and will think that he is stupid and what not.. but there is a philosophy behind what I said.. ^_^ Not every body's like is a tea cup. *_* but that is far from the point.. most people has the ability to say something wise, but it is hardly noticeable when they talk a lot and nonsense comes out, is better to act, since actions speak louder than a word will.

Are you thinking of the Golden Mean? I think Aristotle had some thoughts on that. How you find the truth in the middle of two extremes.
But there are a lot of other stories on it. Like the story of Daedalus and Icarus (feathers of wax), Delphi : "Nothing in excess.", Plato, Pythagoras, etc.
