Ghost hunters That show is probably the most underated of all time. No one can prove what there doing is false. And I challenge anyone to try. I'm tired of people being skeptical

Ghost Hunters is a cool show. I love paranormal shows, but like everything on tv, "reality" or not, you have to take it with a grain of salt. I know people who have had crazy things have with paranormal hunting equipment and EVPs and such things, but it doesn't happen often. Keep in mind that things like this show are exaggerated, cherry picked, and highly edited.

There has been proof that they have fakes at least some of the show. It is all over the internet. Just search for it.

It's a TV show; they're in it for ratings.

Not necessarily fake. You got to remember. There are thousands of people who want to be on telivision. Theese guys got picked out of everyone. If you think they just pick random people your sadly wrong no offence. Not everything is real on TV. But not everything can be explained so easily either. People think they known everything unless you actually spoke with these paranormal investigators there's no way u can 100% prove it

Not necessarily real either. If you haven't spoken directly to these people or been with them to see that they actually encountered something you can't be 100% sure.

There are ways of course to prove whether what they claim is false or true. And there is strong evidence that much of what they claim is unreal. People should be skeptical of such claims. Accepting everything one sees on television as true is rather naive.

Can someone make real contacts? I would say yes, that they can. But are these guys doing it? That I think is less likely. I'd look at it as interesting entertainment (although I find them rather laughable) but not convincingly real.

I used to run with some of their crew back in the day before they had the show. They believe in the supernatural, and each of them has had their share of paranormal experiences (like every single person on the planet can claim). However, the show is run by network producers who are only interested in ratings, and the guys have sold out to that end.

while i believe in spirits, i also believe 95% of what you see on a ghost hunting or other supernatural show is falsified for ratings. i have watched several ghost hunter shows [don't remember the names of any of them] there is one i actually liked because they may record a noise, but then they try and disprove the noise as something logical, and i liked that because all the other shows if a branch would brush against a window they will overreact like crazy.

unfortunately you will always have the non-believers unless you can get a spirit to fully manifest, shake the persons hand and say 'hi, there is life after death' then vanish. even then you may have your nay sayers. it's better to focus on your own beliefs and strengthen your views.

Having been out on real ghost hunts and using the equipment, I can say that so far, none of these shows know what they are doing.

EMF meteors are affected by cell phones, walkie talkies and other equipment (just think of all that camera gear!). The K2 meteor lights up like Christmas when cell phones (within the range of 5 feet) search for a signal (roaming) or use data to connect to a cell tower. Walkie talkies (used a lot on the shows) can set off a EMF detector up to 20 feet away. But the shows don't take this into account. So many of their readings aren't scientifically valid. Learned this all from trial and error in the team I'm on. They also don't mention that you can use a compass to locate the source of EMF to see if it is from a source they can pin point. There are so many flaws in the shows and how they find their evidence.

The only show I watched was Destination Truth. They generally relied on humor between members and the info on the legends for their ratings. They normally never found anything interesting and didn't have a problem saying it. On the other hand, Ghost Adventures have been renamed in my team as The Three Stooges. We even have a drinking game based off their silly behaviors.

Instresting iris. I never been on a team before.. But I do love science. Well emfs do tend to have alot interferences it really doesn't debunk it. Cause everything has some sort electric wave emiting. It all depends on the equipment.. You can modify devices to tune in what your looking for. I'm pretty sure they have money to do that. For example there user on this site claims she modify her camera i guess to see her spirit or something.... I think it crazy but still instresting... Is technology getting that advance? I'm not a certified geek so I'm not sure

You can modify some things like digital cameras to take pictures similar to IR, but they aren't true IR and don't seem to really create any more paranormal looking pictures than a standard one. But K2 meters and standard EMF detectors aren't something you can really modify. The most we've done is put on toggle switches so you didn't have to manually press the button for the K2. Manually pressing the button can even cause false readings as when the button is pushed all the lights will blink twice and it can get really tiring pushing it down after 30 minutes. Your finger gets tired and boom, fake reading you might not even be aware of. And while EMF is everywhere, that is why investigators will take a base reading of the area first. Strange spikes that seem to move around without a source or just randomly disappear is what is used as proof. A lot of people don't realize that everyday things like the walkie talkies or cell phones can make spikes that disappear and seem like random hits. My team didn't know it for a couple years...which suddenly made every past investigation invalid if we had a cell phone on it that wasn't turned off or put on airplane mode. The only meter you can adjust to change which type of frequencies it is picking up is the trifield meter.

For cool info on gear and tech on ghost hunting, check out the Youtube videos by the Viper Paranormal team. They have the best stuff on how easy it is to get false readings and have become the channel we recommend to anyone interested in learning about doing their own paranormal investigations.
