Has anyone experienced bad luck for a period of time before their spells have worked? I know the basics of witchcraft and I have studied witchcraft for years. I have been spell casting for only about seven months but it seems I am having bad luck in my life and my spells are not working. Does anyone have any suggestions? My bad luck streak has actually been going on for a few years now, but it still continues no matter what I do. I have done cleansing spells, banishing negativity spells, and two hex removal spells to no avail. Any suggestions? Please and thank you in advance.
If you've only been casting for a few months it might just be that you haven't quite got the hang of it yet, or it could be that even though you know the basics you haven't mastered using them. These are the most likely answers for why spells haven't worked, that or your intent isn't enough but from what you've said I don't think that's it. As for the bad luck, I would say that it's either your everyday bad luck and you've just been keeping a mental list making it seem like a bad luck streak when it probably hasn't been all bad all the time, this is what most of us do subconciously, or it's actual bad energy or something like that messing with you. Once again I don't think it's the latter since you've said you've done cleansing "spells" which don't need intent to work per se.
Such as the other person in the thread has said, don't believe in your confirmation bias (keeping a list for your 'bad luck', and counting only the times that support your belief that you have a bad luck streak, even when you may be having good luck or breaks)
Anyway, if you've been feeling like you're in a rut or in a clouded funk for a few years, maybe depression and mental health may affect how well your magick works? I mean if you feel very negative about things, chances are you will perceive most things to be so, and it may cloud your intention from anything overly positive from happening. A good way to counter this is learn how to be zen about things in your life currently-- to appreciate even the bad luck. Then it can be good luck, can't it?
Try to take yourself out of your usual routine, try refreshing, try fasting, try a spiritual journey in which you awaken yourself again. Do something to pull you out of the depths of your isolation, and it doesn't even have to be a big deal, just put yourself in a different frame of mind might even do it. Ever heard of feng shui? Try moving the furniture around in your home, redecorating, reading a new book, craft a few things. Try to spark a new thing to distract you even if you feel like what ever you're going through now will be hard to remove. Speaking of removal, meditate on some chakras? Who knows, you may be blocked in some ways, mentally or physically.
The more faith you put on the fact that you are suffering from a spell of bad luck, the worse Your luck will become

The best id recommend is a calm moment and a warm cup of tea to settle your nerves, luck starts with the Individual and effects there life. I guess it's some-what like alchemy, when you try to change something for the better the thing's around it will change for the better too.

yes, maybe it's the 'law of attraction'. If you truly believe you are having bad luck, you keep attracting it because you are sending out your expectations in the universe and the universe responds with...bad luck. Try to believe in 'luck'.
