I want to know if the following is normal / correct when I meditate and project....
When I meditate I sit up straight with my legs crossed hands stretched and relaxed on my knees, I close my eyes and take a few deep breaths by my third feel breath my entire body is stiff, by stuff I can't feel it and I can't move at all, I open my eyes and are able to visualize and continue meditation at a normal breathing rate, when I want it to end, I close my eyes and deep breath again just to relax my body.
For Astral protection, I will lay on my bed and make sure I am comfortable, and everything is relaxed, same thing within a few deep breaths I go stiff, but not just stiff, I tingle in my hands-fingers- and legs , my body starts to lift without me wanting it to yet.
Is that supposed to happen in either ??

Rigidity during meditation in an asana (posture with a straight back) is very common, in fact it is to be expected in some systems.

If you are lying down to astral project surely the intention to leave your body is already present? Nothing strange is occurring there, I believe projection is a natural thing anyway, controlling that projection is the key skill to be developed.

Sounds completely normal to me, and I think if you are getting results you shouldn't worry too much what others think anyway.
