Book recommendations?

I'm learning so I want to read up as much as possible. I just don't want to buy a book and then later find out it's terrible. Any recommendations you have will be appreciated. Herbalism, Basic Wicca, Candle magick, anything!

Scott Cunningham has a long list of books about Wicca and Herbalism, you might want to check out his bibliography.

Wicca for life by Raymond Buckland, The Witches Bible by Janet and Stuart Farrar, To Walk a Pagan Path by Alaric Albertsson, The Goddess is in the Details by Deborah Blake, are a few good ones. There's also a list of advanced books Lark posted

Celtic Magic by D.J. Conway was a good book to ease one into wicca and Celtic magic. I was lucky enough to have snuck this book from my mother's bookshelf, and found it was pretty dang useful! Light and love,

D.J. Conway and Silver Ravenwolf are very unreliable authors and their books are full of misinformation. I would save the money you'd spend on their books and use it on better ones.

In regards to Wicca I would recommend the following:

"Wicca: A Year and a Day" by Timothy Roderick

"Wicca" by Thea Sabin

"The Elements of Ritual" by Deborah Lipp

"The Heart of Wicca" by Ellen Cannon Reed.

For Candle Magick you might try "Practical Candleburning Rituals" and "Advanced Candle Magick" by Ray Buckland.
