Same Goal Spell Work

I've searched the forum to find information on multiple spell work and found that you can cast them. My question is, when casting during different moon phases, could both spells have the same goal?

Example:

Let's say I want to stop smoking. I'll do a banish spell during the waning phase and a strength spell during the waxing phase (to have strength not to smoke).

Can this increase the chances of the spells to work, or would the second spell weaken the first spell?

As the spells are meant to work in different ways, I see no reason they would cancel each other out.

Thank you. I kind of figured you could, but I wasn't sure.

I do this a lot. Every Samhain I set my goals for the year, usually 3 of them, and the majority of my spell work for the next 12 months is focused on those 3 goals.

I find the extra intention, energy and spell work helps. I usually reach all my goals before the end of the year.
