Healing with pendulum

I want to start healing my chakras with pendulum, this method fits me... However, I have a few questions:

1) First of all, should I cleanse my chakras in an anti-clock wise motion, and then spin it in a circular motion, in order to activate them?

2) Is cleansing the pendulum only okay, or do I have a charge it as well? If yes, why?

3) This famous "clock-wise" motion on chakras, is in the way you view them as you lay down eg, or as in a way you view your body?
