Greetings to whom ever stumbles across this. My name is Nokti and I am new to this sight. I want to learn as much as I can from anyone who is willing to share. I would love to here which path or paths you follow and why? What got you started in those paths? Why do you choose to keep following your set path? Do you have any stories to share about your practice? I would love to hear any information you are willing to share. I look forward to learning from you! :)
Hello Nokti, welcome to the site. I'm Jeweless.
I'm an eclectic pagan, I love using crystals in my magick and making elixirs. Feel free to mail me if you have any questions :)
Thank you for asking such a lovely question. Welcome to the site. I hope you enjoy your time here.
Here's my answers to your questions:
Which path or paths you follow and why?
I am an eclectic solitary witch. I enjoy being free to do whatever I want though I do pick and choose things from other paths that I decide to follow.
What got you started in those paths?
To be honest, I first wanted to learn about demons years ago when I first started. Soon I started to learn more about witchcraft from this site and others and I kind of forgot about the reason I first came on here. I learned the basics firsts then I start to learn other things to get me going.
Why do you choose to keep following your set path?
I keep following this path cause it makes me happy. I'm not being told what to do with my life or that I will go to hell for doing something wrong like in certain organized religions. Magick has helped me a lot over the years and I don't think I'll ever stop.
Do you have any stories to share about your practice?
When I first started doing magick four years ago, I put a, I guess you can call it a curse, on my BOS. I wasn't so open about my path and my curse was that if anybody were to touch it without my permission, something bad will happen to them. My parents were very religious Christians so I kept the book with me and all times, even taking it to school with me. Some guy in class had the nerve to look through my bag one day and saw the book. He read through it and mocked me. I didn't really mind the mocking. However, a day after that he stopped coming to school. A week later he came back, a cast on his arm. Something had happened to him. Was it my curse who had done it or was it justcoincidence? I claim my magick though. Tehehe.
Sorry for making this so long. It's fun to answer forums like these. It makes me smile. n.n Can't wait to hear some stories from you. Thanks again for such a nice forum. I hope you have fun on this site.
I consider myself a Heathen (Norse pagan) in general, though I most closely align with Rokkatru and am a Lokean. I tend to work with and honor a specific handful of deities that typically includes Loki, Fenrir, Mimir, Surtr, Rindr, Angrboda, Aegir and Ran (though I'm always expanding). I also practice various aspects of Northern Tradition Shamanism and Norse magics (such as seidr and berserkergangr). I do a lot of trancework and dealings with spirits in my practice. I am very fond of the landvaettir (land wights) and jotunfolk.
I grew up in an environment when I was very young where I had the opportunity to learn a lot about the Norse lore and the Gods associated therein. Later on, in my adolescence, I had a spiritual experience that prompted me to start devoting time and study to them. And I've continued ever since. This path is the one that fulfills me the most, and feels right, therefore I continue to follow it.
Hi Nikti. My name is Rhisa. I don't exactly follow a set path. I am a diviner, and I practice chaos magic, but I wouldn't consider those as set paths and more of areas of practice. I am also agnostic.
I wen't through a lot of different paths to get to the one (or lack of one) I have now. I started being interested in magic as a Christian. I tried to mix the two, and whilesome people are able to, I was not able to accomidate my belief in witchcraft with my Christian beliefs. I was also beginning to question the religion itself and whether it was right for me. Shortly after, I discovered Wicca. I considered myself Wiccan for a very small amount of time, but I really didn't understand the religion. After struggling with that for a while, I came to terms with my agnosticism. I called myself and eclectic grey solitary witch for quite a while, and while those labels still technically fit (sans solitary I suppose), I don't really like them.
I don't really have a story for you, but I wish you the best. :)
Greetings Megitsune it's a pleasure to meet you! Thank you so very much for sharing that amazing story and what got you started. It's truely incredible what we can learn from another. I would haft to say your curse worked. No doubt in my mind.
I got started in Magick a long time ago by my ex. She was into darker Magick. She excelled at curses and using her own blood for her craft. This peeked my interest so I started looking into it myself. It came natural too me and the arrogance soon followed. There was nothing like feeling invincible in the craft. One day we had a bad argument and I can't even remember what it was any more. So I did my own nightmare spell. I raised up so much energy that I almost passed out when I was done. Once the anger had subsided I realized it was a bad idea so I tried to retract as much of it as I could. That night she sleep walked into the kitchen and woke up holding a knife to her wrist. That's when I truly understood how dangerous this could become. From that point moving forward I swore my practice to shadow protection and healing Magick. Some times I do use a few karma spells if the person really deserves it.
Hello Megitsune! It is a pleasure to meet you! Thank you for taking the time to Rey to my post. That is a very impressive list you have of all the Gods and Goddess's you work with. That's really cool you got to hear stories and get a chance to develop your path as early as you were able too. I have heard the term Lokian before; however, I really don't understand what that means exactly. Would you be willing to go into greater detail about it? I would really appreciate it. The Goddess I work with is Morrighan. In the past I dabbled with Hecate and Isis. Over the years I have also started working with a Dragon spirit. They both can be very strict. That I have learned the hard way. In the end thou I find them to be fair in their choices. I have learned a lot by working with them and I hoping to learn more by meeting more people. Once again thank you so much for sharing and I hope to hear from you again. :)
Greetings Rhisa! It is a pleasure to meet you and thank you for posting on my forum! I can see how you came to your path. I grew up Christian as well. My "Dad" I am putting that in quotes due to many problems I have with him and his ideas. He is a youth pastor for a Christian Church and believes there is no in between when it comes to our lives and the Church. I believe religion is for those you are afraid of going to hell and spiritualism is for those who truly want to learn and grow. I also believe religion was created to keep the poor from killing the rich :p. I think it's great that you are open too so many paths and ideas. It can be hard to find a find that spot that you can categorize your ideas into. Sometimes it's best not to have one. It can set barriers and prevent you from exploring new ideas or areas that might not have come about before. Once again thank you for sharing and I wish you the best of luck.
