Spirit animal help?

Recently I've been having difficulty identifying what creature my spirit animal really is.. For the longest time I thought my spirit animal (Sapphire) was a wolf, I always loved them. I called out to her in meditation a while ago, and after several tries on multiple nights, she showed herself to me. However, she wasn't easy to see because she wasn't a solid image. She looked made up of lines of blue electricity in a tribal like pattern. She jumped out of the dark of my closed eyes and I got a momentary view of her. She was definitely a relative of the dog at least.

However, my household is not very supportive and I am often forced to suppress myself.. So I've sadly become rather disconnected with my spirit animal. I honestly don't blame her for hiding :/ Maybe It's due to the disconnect, but I've begun to suspect that maybe my spirit animal is not lupine, but instead vulpine. Does anyone have a way to determine if she's in fact a fox and not wolf, or if she's something other than my spirit animal?

If you're really wanting to know if shes a Fox and not a wolf, Foxes are much smaller than wolves. Foxes have very narrow snouts as well. More Feline like in a way. You could also try to give her an offering of a small animal, be this a physical small animal or just conjuring up this offering in the astral realm. Foxes prefer smaller prey than wolves.

Ok and thank you, I'll try that. I'll probably try the astral realm route though. Though I still wonder if what I saw was in deed a spirit animal.
