cure sick spell

i'm a total newbie and I was wondering what kind of spell a newbie like me can learn to use? my friend is sick and I was hoping I could help him out.

-You could try sending healing energy towards your friend.

-You could try sympathetic magic; like poppets. Poppets are a human like figure(made out of various materials)to represent the person you are casting the spell towards, and are commonly used for healing.

I also made a simple spell for healing that you can try. Keep in mind, sometimes sicknesses are just going to happen. But, this spell, at the very least, will help to speed up recovery or lessen the symptoms :)

1.)Sit quietly where you will not be disturbed. Light a candle, if you have one.

2.)You can, if you would like to, cast a circle and/or call upon any deities or spirit guides that you work with.

3.)Meditate for a while, concentrating on your friend and what you appreciate about them. Think about good times you’ve had together.

4.)When you feel ready, say this spell three times,

"This is the spell that I intone,
Impure sickness,
Leave (name of friend) alone."

Then, after the third repetition say,

"By Earth, Air, Fire and Sea,
As I will,
With harm to none,
So mote it be."
