So I'm fairly certain that there is a spirit in my home. I also think I am unintentionally drawing it out. When I manage to meditate regularly and I have those times when I can really devote myself to learning the craft it comes out. The first time it touched my shoulder while I was laying in bed. A few times I have glimpsed what I thought were shadows. And just random weird stuff. Like today I was in the living room talking to my grandparents and my grandma has a music box that has never been wound up in the years she has had it and it played music today. It seems to just like attention because it hasn't harmed me it just does things to let me know it's there.
Maybe it wants to talk? But I'm not ready to take that step to try to contact it just yet. So I just settle for acknowledging that I know it's there when it tries to get my attention. Is it possible that me practicing the craft is what is drawing it out?
Maybe, maybe not, it's hard to say. If you are not ready or annoyed you can ask politely for it to leave you alone, or you could try cleansing your area, before meditating. It sounds like it's curious about you, especially since it os trying to hard to get your attention
What Shadowcasts said :) Practicing magic will sometimes attract roaming spirits, whether they be deceased family members, roaming spirits in the neighborhoods, or old tenants who loved their home too much. At least in my experience. I would set up protections whenever you're mediating. Call on a guardian, whatever that guardian may be if you already have one, and call on them to protect you every time you do magic. :) Right now your visitor seems to be curious and trying to get your attention. Knowing me, I'd cast a circle and give it a list what it can and cannot do to you. Make things clear, because if it's an astral nasty, you don't want it to burn you. Remember: Be polite!
You really don't know what you're dealing with, it could be a gentle spirit that only wants to let you know its there, or it could be a nasty spirit and the activity will escalate.
Being a Witch your going to be working with energies, and Spirit, you need to get a good handle on protection, to keep yourself safe.
You can simply state, "I know your here, but I have boundaries and you will respect them" then tell them or it that it cant bother you when you're sleeping. See what happens, a Wraith wont care what you want, then you will know you need to take further action. (a wraith is a nasty ghost, or mean ghost) Demon's wont care and respect your boundaries either (unless you work with them)
