color flame candles
By:
hi. Ive been fiddling around with candle making and I've been trying to get a wax candle produce a blue flame. Unfortunately Paraffin wax is a non polar compound.
all the metals that burn into colorful flames i can find only dissolve in polar chemicals. So these chemicals can not be mixed into wax. only be soaked in the wick.

I was thinking of making an emulsion with the wax and alcohol, but i do not know if that is possible.

Does anyone have any ideas to solve my conundrum?
My goal is to add a little extra punch to a spell by controlling flame color.
But physics is getting in the way

Your problem seems to be more of a chemical one. Using copper is the easiest way to make your flame blue. However, I suggest you also look into pyrotechnics and study the making of fireworks to find solutions to your problem.
And be safe.

I did, and it is possible, but no tutorials exist for it.
I am still figuring it out for myself
