Since before the dawn of recorded history, people have been "casting" objects as a way of understanding their world and their potential future. These can be shells, bones, twigs, little ceramic titles with carved runes or other symbols on them or stones.
Divination with stones is something calledLithomancy. Begin by collecting some small rocks. These can be stones which have been naturally rounded and polished by a river or the sea. Pretty pebbles you have picked up from the roadside when out for a walk or pushed semi-precious gemstone purchased at a rock shop or museum store. This system requires nine stones for a complete set, and each stone is assigned a meaning and marked with a chart below shows the stone and their symbolism.
To cast them,
begin by drawing a circle on the ground, about 12 inches in the diameter. Hold the stone and concentrate on your question; then toss the stones into the circle. You should drop them high enough that they spread out over the circle and a few them may even bounce out the line. Anything that falls outside the circle, you can disregard, the closer a stone is to the center of the circle, the most important it is, interpret the stone in relationship to each other. For example, T he mars stone near the Jupiter stone could mean that a conflict will expand, or that more assertiveness or action is called for, The Sunstone next to the Venus stone could mean success in love. Earth and Saturn stones in close proximity may mean limited prosperity; Earth with the Jupiter and Stun stones mean increased prosperity or that a project relating to your home will go very well. Find the interpretation that best fits the wording of your original question.
Lithomancy Stones:
Stone: Earth Stone
Meaning: Home, prosperity, or material possessions
As with any system, remember that the stone can only show you trends and probabilities. Nothing had Lithomancy shows you is carved in stone. By your choices and actions, you direct your future. Divination can only you if you are headed in the right direction or warn if you are not.
