I want to mess around with Goetia. Problem is, I don't know how. I ESPECIALLY don't know how to do it safely (or as safe as I can get). Do you know where I should start? Thanks.
I wouldn't mess with the Goetia if you are not prepared to face your inner demons. The Goetic spirits would just mess with you right back.
Two easy methods I've come across is 1) either using a black mirror. 2 )Using Goetic meditation: using the correspondence of the demons rank, candle, sigil, mantra, description of what the demon looks like to you and know how to meditate. Even learning to go into a light trance would work with both methods.

One does not 'mess around' with any spirit, regardless of whether you believe it to be a psychological projection or an independent entity- it is reckless.
You will want to perform evocation, the trouble is evocation requires skills which you should have already developed. Here is a short list:
Concentration
Visualisation
Shifting Consciousness
Prayer (sometimes used as a method to accomplish the prior two)
Seeing with the 'spirit vision/astral eyes'
Banishing
Invocation (If you are using the actual original goetic method)
Feeling spiritual impressions
If you have the above down, you needn't ask how to work with the Goetia, you would be able to add the pieces up. I recommend working with the original system first- preferably avoiding the Mathers/Crowley edition and using a more academic source. After you have experience of this write your own version and omit any details you feel are not needed. Everyone requires different things and you will need to work out what you require.

Evocation is advanced work and the Goetia are not for the light hearted, ensure you are prepared before you dive in both spiritually and intellectually.
As said already there are many readings, as well as your inner demons and you might also be surprised with the real meanings found in the texts. Read as much as you can and ask all specific questions you have big to small. On the bright side the texts warn you about specific 'rules'/techniques, what you should always say and do plus what you should never do when interacting with each demon. It's complicated work to do because there are steps everywhere; you can't really just 'cast your circle as usual' then say some comanding words and get results. Just keep reading first most steps are included, they're great reads anyway.
You should be careful and especially respectful on what you're doing because you don't want the Goetia to mess around with you. If you want to contact a specific entity for a reason you can meditate on them, or invite them in meditation. You could focus on their sigil and just know they're there...
I don't generally remember them, but I know Paimon, Vassago, Valefor, Leraje are very friendly as entities if you respect them...
