Hi, I am new to this site. I have been searching the web for some time now to find a spell or ritual to break a very powerful generational curse. My fiance is the one who is cursed. Bad things keep happening to him over and over again, and bad things have happened to his mother and aunt for their whole lives. I thought maybe at first it was just a bit of bad luck but I know now that it is definitely a curse. We tried to burn some herbs to get rid of it but then things just became a whole lot worse.
If anyone has any suggestions of what to try first, any spells that work for powerful curses, etc. please let me know!
Also many of the herbs listed in spells are very hard to find. Any ideas as to where I can get them locally? Or will I have to order them offline?

The short answer is that the single best way to get past a curseciscto uplift yourself beyond its reach. Meditate on personal clensing, bisualize being filled with light and positivity, and focus on letting go of lower energies and returning them where they came from.
The best way I know to beat negativity is to actively replace it with something better. Sometimes that means also digging in and reflecting on what might be bringing it to him to begin with. The hardest part, though, is learning to step away from a victim mindset and finding (then understanding and taking responsibility for) one's own part in things. Being Self-aware and understanding your responsibility is what also gives you the power to make change.
After all A victim has no power. No choice or control because it is always someone (or something) else's fault. You can't change or stop what you see as being separate from yourself. But if one takes responsibility for their own parts in things, even if they are small or simple, then they take their own power back to change those things and become better.
For example, It could be a simple question to reflect on such as; Why is your fiancee letting this curse have power? What is it that is leading him to give-in and let it run amok?
Definitely bombard it with positive energy, white magic, banishing spell, cleansing spells. You could try a binding spell, and I know sometimes I will bind negative energy to an object (like a piece of paper) and call upon my astrological element (fire) to remove it. You could destroy the object whatever way you please. But I would recommend a cleansing spell first.
well, for starters, it's not the power of the curse, but the power you give the curse. so step one imo is to stop blaming everything on 'the curse' as this feeds into the energy of the curse.
as for this generational curse, what happened? the family has to know the reason they were cursed. were they given a cursed item, did their ancestor break a promise to the person who cast the curse, did they step on a leprechaun? narrowing down the type and reason can also help determine what needs to be done. if the ancestor needed to get water from a well and water a willow, just get the water and give it to the tree. if you were given a cursed ring, bury the ring in a mirror box somewhere off property where it won't hurt anyone [if they threw away the cursed ring years ago, i would conclude the item isn't effecting the family because you need to physically have it in your home for the energy to effect the people]
overall, if it's just 'we don't remember, it's just a curse' explain to them they are feeding into the curse, and need to stop blaming it for one thing. second, cleanse themselves and their homes [this will be time consuming since you might need to cleanse their objects too, so make it a big family spring cleaning thing, wash furniture with lemon water, put some salt in with the laundry, wash windows and mirrors with vinegar, sprinkle salt on the carpet, so on, so forth] at the end, i would burn incense in each room, then hang a protection symbol in each room and say a protection chant. have each person take a cleansing bath and wear a protection symbol, and finally, sprinkle protection dust around the perimeter of the house [if it's an apartment, across the doorways and windowsills]
the members of the family will probably have to ground, charge, and shield themselves daily, and even recleanse/protect themselves and their homes regularly [though not the the extreme as you first did] until they don't sense any negative energy hanging over them. you might also wish to give them a mantra to use so they don't stub their toe and go 'the curse is back! run for your lives!' something simple and positive like 'i am light' or 'all is well' simple and reassuring they have the power to stop the curse. you might also consider casting a good fortune spell after [make sure you do it some time later so you're not drained] so they can start to feel some extra good vibes in their life.
i would also suggest since it's a little past Ostara and tonights the blue moon, to start the cleansing now as this moon is special and it's at its peak, over the next few days as it wanes energy will be removed from situations, so cleaning away stagnant energy at this time is best since the flow is away. [perhaps either at the next full moon or even as the moon is waxing you could cast a spell to bring luck to your fiances family]
