Dreams

Let me start off by saying I dream every night and I remember my dreams when I wake up. My dreams feel real and are always creative. My "Nightmares" are also amazing and creative that I am not scared. However, I do have a question.

What does it mean when you speak another language in your dream?
This only happen to me once that I remember. My dream occurred during World War II, I was a soldier fighting against the German in a trench with other soldiers. During the battle, my fellow soldiers and myself were captured by the Germans. Suddenly, there was another attack and the Germans were force to leave. Before leaving a young German soldier asked me in German to go with him. I replied also in German that I would. The scene switch to myself being with the Germans on a U-Boat and that we were arriving in Germany. The whole time I was with the Germans I spoke German.

Now this Dream happen probably 6 or 7 years ago and at that time I did take German in High School, but I didn't learn enough to have a complete conversation in German, non the less form complete sentences. Plus we talked about things I never knew the German words for yet I understood what was being said.

So yeah, what is your opinion?

I think you could have overlapped you German. Perhaps the words you thought were German, really weren't and it was just your mind making things up.

Do you know if you have any German heritage in your blood/family? That might be linked to it.
