Sometimes they're from my point of view... Other times are like I'm watching a movie...
I often wonder if my dreams are just imaginings or if I'm temporarily on another plane.
I've heard various terms in my dreams that I hadn't heard before and I look them up to find out that they actually are real words that make a lot of sense in the context of the dreams.
For instance, I once had a very vivid dream where I was was at my high school. In a study hall, I got paranoid and started to feel ill. I was sent to the nurse, but on my way, I saw a door that had never been there, before. Curiosity drew me to it and I stepped inside to find it was a large elevator. It went down, deep below the building and opened up to a large room resembling a storm sewer. A large worm-like creature tried to kill me there and I ended up killing it instead. Then someone came up to me and told me that I had killed a "baku". When I woke up, I looked it up to find out that it's a Japanese term for a "dream-eater".
So, did I actually kill a dream-eater?
Is it more like projecting into an astral realm? Is this realm separate or connected to ours?
Are those we meet in our dreams spirits or spiritual beings?
Can our dreams connect with other people's dreams?
Really, just share any of your thoughts on dreams, please.
Other opinions and points of view could be very enlightening.
Its so hard to indenting with dreams. It could be your imagination, it could not. In the end, your the only person who can decide.
A good website to get started in dream magick is theomagica. If you look under essays and dream magick that should get you started. In the end, either somebody would have to dream walk to your dream at the time or you would have to interpreter yourself to be completely sure.
I would also look into psychology, since it's a basis of understanding the way of the mind, with people such as Carl Jung to start with. Avoid Sigmund Freud, he's not great for gullible beginners as a lot of his works weren't really based on anything but his own crazy ramblings, that are quite illogical.
I've taken psychology and I agree that Sigmund Freud's ideas are nonsensical.
Everything is sexual with him and my mind is far from being that way-- never trusted the guy.
I'll look at Carl Jung's work again; I've forgotten most of my psychology...
I'll take a look at Theomagica as well.
I had a feeling nobody could tell me for certain about my dreams...
I assume the things I mentioned are possible?
Since I haven't been around others of the practice, I appreciate the help a lot.
I've heard of similar happenings and I think is possible to tap into another world from your dreams.
While psychology can be a very good beginning to dream interpretation, have in mind that dreams are quite personal, for instance, a symbol that has usually a positive meaning for most people could be a negative one for a certain person. Your own interpretation will probably be the most truthful one.
I'm getting more curious about it now.
In my dreams...
I keep coming across others (people or creatures) who insist on "testing" me.
It's always like I'm expected to fight, but I don't end up fighting, myself.
There's another body, an avatar of sorts, that appears and I can control from a distance.
One of the beings called itself "Drauga", and told me that I'm "not ready".
Another one repeatedly asked "Why are you holding back?".
1). Are those we meet in our dreams spirits or spiritual beings?
Depends. From my personal experience I personally would consider different individuals who play the role as themselves rather then the old dream symbol meaning where these ppl represent different aspects of ones self. So again from personal experience I have a thing for this guy and until one night I had a dream where I received a greeting card from him where he was expressing his Honest Emotions Andy thoughts he had kept to himself. Now in the morning my tarot cards confirmed that my soul make contact with the guys higher self to pass on the message to me. You see Im a highly spiritual person and psychic upon a few levels and at times I relay heavily upon my dreams to receive news, warnings and etc upon a psychic level. So to answer your question you seriously need to go with your gut feeling and make that judgement for yourself overall.
2). Can our dreams dreams join with others?
I dunno, but I do know is that you can look into someone elses dreams through their POV. Ive discovered a simple spell where it can be used to look 8nto another POV to reveal how/why someone said/done or thought such and such towards you and the dream within itself is the answer to your question.
You can try experiments. :-) Meditations before sleep - before bedtime. For example meditation on a journey, on a walking tour. Or on a next day. And you will see....
