It's way more endeavor than that. Everyone has different answers because this question can be answered in many different ways. This is just my answer.

In order to meet any god or goddess, you would need to create a personal relationship with them. Asking a god or goddess just to meet them isn't how it works it's more like them coming to you when you least expect it but need it if that makes any sense.

If you were to worship the god or goddess talk to them every day have an altar for them than more or likely that god or goddess will come to you when you need help like when you're going through a rough time in your life they would probably come to you in a dream and give you that hand that you need to help you. You don't need to have an altar for them but I sure they will very much appreciate it.

I have heard stories of where a god or goddess will come to them in a dream even though they don't worship them, but it's very rare in my opinion.

Overall, build a relationship with one a very personal relationship with one and make you sure you have time and patience because it does take time but always stay positive and never feel like a god or goddess doesn't wanna help you because they all wanna help you in one way or the other, in my opinion, it just takes time.

Is there one you have in mind? I would make an altar in their honour, leave offerings for them, meditate before it, and ask to work with them. Afterwards be observant for their answer which could come in many forms. Yes or no just keep studying and practicing [daily meditation and energy work can help] and eventually you should meet someone.

Thomas, it is a very different topic. Your shadow is not the same as a god. It is an aspect of your self, whether you find it expressed as an entity which is met, or as qualities of yourself.

One of the biggest misconceptions about the 'shadow' is that it is one's supposed evil or bad side; it is not. It is simply hidden, repressed, or less expressed parts of one's psyche. While these may be expressed as an entity in dreams or other methods of visualizations, these aspects are merely a part of the person. They can be 'met,' 'expressed,' and explored through many methods -- but not the same, necessarily, as meeting a deity.

I think the best is meditation about a name. But, take it a time. Good is a meditation before you sleep. Like it was common in ancient Greece and Egypt, see translantion magical papyri. .

Most of my work I do through my patron goddess. When I need her help, I meditate and visualize her, usually working in her forge. Meditation is usually a good way to meet spirits and other gods, as long as you aren't endangering yourself.
