Kitchen Magick is a simple practical way of infusing delight in your craft and food. Since I noticed many of the people on the site love talking about food and many of us craft in the kitchen and this would be a fun way to share idea's and recipe's. What is Kitchen Magick you ask? Well its bringing the comfort of food and spell casting in the same area and not at all uncommon. Imagine having a small altar in your kitchen that's easily assembled, filled with your favorite tea's, herbs, crystal's, and candles. Now imagine yourself cooking a wonderful meal while casting your witchery (Intent) and honoring your patrons. Lovely thought isn't it?
Aroma's are used to infuse different energies and your kitchen is the "heart" of your house. Most homes everyone always hangs out in the kitchen, eating, laughing and doing family activities. This gives the room character, its already infused with positive energies you can use if this is the case for you. The possibility's of this magick are endless, and it gives you a reason to practice more if your environment is favorable of course. I am curious as to how everyone else uses Kitchen Witchery and I don't know about the rest of you but I could use some fresh ideas for the holidays!
I really enjoy kitchen witchcraft, it is so variable and can be something very simple, such as working with herbal tea poured into a mug with a sigil created from honey in the bottom, to infuse the tea with your intention.
Up to ritual meals for special occasions and events. It's something that can be easily included in day to day life, making it wonderful for those with a busy life.

Kitchen Witchcraft is based around the idea of focusing on hearth and home, while incorporating magic and enchantments. The kitchen is an integral part of the home, and can serve as the focal point for works of magic. Magic is worked into the foods we make and beverages we drink, much in the same way that we might do in other spellwork and ritual practices.
Magic can be infused into our cooking via the herbs we use, chants we chant over our food, etc. Our stoves, spoons, and pots and pans all become our tools of magic.
Some ideas to keep in mind, if you plan on venturing into Kitchen Witchcraft are:
A kitchen altar (as already mentioned by Baron)
An herb rack for all of your favorite magical plants
Baking small treats for your deities or household spirits
Cooking utensils that have been specially charged for your magical goodies
Keep your ritual space (your kitchen in this case) clean and tidy; free of clutter
Keep a BoS of your magical recipes
Cooking Up Magic:
While cooking, keep your goal in mind. Focus on what it is you want to do; the energy you want to work into your food.
While you cook, focus on that energy flowing into your food. Are you making soup for a sick friend? Focus on working healing energy into your cooking, and maybe add some healing herbs too!
You can also make a short chant or prayer to say while you cook your food, or even call upon a deity to aid your work.
Stirring clockwise is considered good luck. While stirring counterclockwise, or stirring with a knife, is considered bad luck.
Lately i have been using liquid butter to draw the sigils on my food before its baked, and infuse other aroma's like cinnamon, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Love kitchen magick it's just apart of my every day routines especially good for my well being and other's around me. Build energy, Infuse, Manifest, & then Release.
