Hello , i need some advice for an attraction spell written by me.
I want to know if this can work or not, and if someone have any other ideas they are welcome.
On friday in a Crescent moon, take 1 pink candle and a photo or paper with name and surname of person.
Than relax yourself and light on the candle and think of the person intensely with desiring.
After some minutes when you are ready take the paper burn it on the candle and say:
"Eros, I invoke you and I ask you to bring this person (say name and surname) in my passionate life so that he wants me intensely"
So you basically came up with a basic candle spell, which if cast properly, can work. You also instructed yourself to visualize the person, which is a common technique used in spell casting. However, I feel that you're not familiar enough with spell work for a few reasons:
a) You asked if a specific spell you've came up with will work, while it's not about the spell- it's about the person who casts it and the energy put into the work. A skilled spell caster doesn't even need tools in order to have a spell manifest.
b) visualizing the person with desire is the only instruction you gave yourself, which isn't enough. You also need to visualize yourself being with this person and manipulating the energy to that direction.
c) It has way more to do with energy than chants and burning papers, which can help boost it up, but not enough.
d) I also see you called upon a higher being (correct me if I'm wrong), so please make sure to give it an offering and that you're really working with it, not just asking its help without giving anything back.
Thus, I would suggest you to look into the basics of energy work and spell casting before you attempt a spell that may or may not work.
Hello, thanks for the answer. Yes i'm a novice and i need to study for casting spell correctly. But what do you mean by give an offer to an higher being? What can i offer to him/her?
And for c) response what can i do for powering the spell?
You decided to call on Eros for help [which I am interested as to why that particular deity] since you're calling on someone for help, it's just wise to leave them something to say thanks. The Gods aren't hanging around waiting for us to ask them for stuff, it's like asking someone for help moving, would you ask a friend or a random stranger? [more likely your friends, right?] And if your friends say yes, it's common to buy pizza as a way to say thanks [and if you go with a stranger, it's usually a professional mover, and you pay them] deities work the same way, they'll help you, but you should thank them with an offering. Even if you work with them or not just to say thanks.
You don't need to call on a deity/spirit in a spell however, many people cast spells without working with anything. You simply need focus and energy to cast a spell correctly.
Energy is what magick is, which is needed for spells. If you cannot charge and direct energy it's very likely the spell won't work. Look into charging/grounding as well as creating psi balls to help you get a feel for energy. Once you can do that you simply charge the items in a spell with this energy, then focus on your desired outcome [in this case, you would charge the candle with energy, as well as the picture, forcing more energy in as you write their surname, then as the candle burns imagine the two of you together]
Overall I think it's a good spell, very simple, but to the point. My only issue was why are you calling on Eros. If you work with Eros that's fine, but if you randomly picked him because "love god" that's fine too I guess, just note you can use any love deity, or none at all in that case.
