Misanthropy brings up two good methods of animal communication that are vastly different. Im going to keep my opinion lite but communicating with animals as in like having a conversation with them is easy in some ways but, difficult and some say unrealistic or impossible in other ways; although I am not going to go off on the idea that its impossible. Lets take a dog for example. There are alot of ways that a dog can communicate with a human such as by its body language like shaking its tail, tucking its tail between its legs, crying or whimpering, growling. Just the body language between a dog and a human, especially a human that it has been around alot, is almost surely more communication than one could get somehow telepathically or by understanding its barks although, some animals such as birds and dolphins are known to likely have complex communication systems of noises resembling the complexity of humans. This can be scientifically measured based on the frequency of words used by humans put on a graph chart and comparing it to the frequency of different noises a bird or a dolphin makes put on a graph chart and when the charts are compared they form a perfect bell curve. We still cant crack their language code but we know its complex. In otherwords we can know that a certain bird is making a warning call to warn other birds of predators but we dont have the technology to take that noise and use it to decode anyother meaning of anyother noise that bird is making. Currently there is no measure that I know of that can detect the complexity of communication via means of smell and that rules out a lot of communication that takes place between different animals. By the way if your wondering what your dog is barking about its probably repeating the same thing over and over because its estimated that a dog only has a vocal vocabulary of up to 15 different words maximum. Who knows how complex their scent communication is right? That gives you a rough idea of how many vocal words any other mamals have besides dolphins and possibly whales.
So im going to jump around a bit and go to what misanthropy mentioned witch was divination via animal actions in particular, and then I will go back to communication with animals via telepathy and expose the secret of telepathy while im at it. I really dont want to get out several large books and post about spicific divinations and omens that are determined for what this animal does this way and for what an animal does if it acts another way. The most basic divination or omen associated with an animals actions is if a black cat crosses your path. I personally have never substanciated that through experiance or from a reliable text but its a clasic example of animal divination or omen. I do personally consider divination by the actions of birds, in particular ravens, to be the most potent form of animal divination. You sit on a bench and where they fly for example, over your left shoulder, right shoulder, land infront of you directly, or land infront of you slightly to the right, ect. predicts different things to happen in the future or omens. This method of divining omens from the flight of ravens and other birds is considered by some authors to be a very powerful form of not just animal divination but divination in general. Unfortuantely anyone who wants to learn this type of divination on this post will have to search for their own texts on the many different flight patterns and the omens they signify because there is to many for me to list.
Finally I will end by discussing communication with animals in a more personal way via telepathy. Many people believe telepathy doesnt exist but I do know about telepathy and technically telepathy is possible with animals and that is basically the only way to communicate with them on a more personal level. Im not going to go through methods of developing telepathy but this is just a spoiler and that is, telepathy can not be translated into any language human or animal. Thoughts can go back and forth but there is no translation of anything that resembles language. Some person can telepathically know how someone else or another animal is thinking but there is no way to put it into words or even know what the other person or animal wants to do or how the other person or animal is going to act. Every person and animal thinks differently. If you wanted to telepathically send your friend a message to give a highfive they wouldnt have the slightest clue what to do because both people think differently. Telepathy can get someone to determine how someone else thinks not what they are thinking in terms of language, action, sensations like hunger or tiredness or even if the other person likes you or hates you. The same with animals a person can use telepathy on an animal and know how they think or i guess let the animal know how you think but thats it. How the person or animal thinks not what they are thinking is the best way to put it. Its gibber gabber in the mind for a physical being at least.
