blinded third eye?

Ok I have been meditating and doing all that i can to open my third eye. but so far all i see with it is nothing but black even though my emotional sixth sense says that someone or something is there. any ideas as to why I can't use my third eye?

My opinion is that the Third Eye is a concept too often described as a literal eye. It's not so much about sight to me as it is about perception, intuition, and the "clairs" as some call it (clairvoyance, etc.; what a lot of people call psychic abilities). Again, my opinion and interpretation of things, I believe most exercises instructing someone to use their third eye to "see" is often more an exercise in visualization than actually seeing. It is meant to open the person to the ideas of perceiving information by a means other than the physical eyes, whether that is literally seeing things (having visions, seeing spirits, etc.), or whether that 'seeing' is more figurative.

Your emotional sixth sense's insistence that something is there sounds very much like you may well be using your third eye already.

Yes but I did see a spirit when I was 7 but after that I stopped seeing. I can feel but not see when there is a spirit about. It is like my third eye opens and i find i am blind in most aspects like something is damaged or not right. That or someone had me blindfolded. Even when i meditate i can't see like at all, only feel around like a blind person.
