Good evening everyone, just wondering what everyones view on the afterlife is. I believe in heaven as told in the bible. I don't believe in a literal hell as I feel it would conflict with what God and Jesus have taught. Please share your views.
Personally I have a bit of a hodgepodge in terms of belief pulled from different cultures and quotes.
"I believe Hell is something you carry with you" is something I whole-heartedly believe. The Bible was never intended to be literal, but primarily metaphoric.
As for afterlife, I believe you can choose to become reincarnated, stick around as a spirit to guide others, or seek eternal rest in Heaven.
i have my very own belief about afterlife . i always believed that the paradise is those happy little moments in our life , the "good karma" as many may call it and hell is the "bad karma" that happens to us when we sin or do something bad . for me hell is the guilt and pain that is caused by our own bad actions .. something that we always carry with us ...
Very interesting takes, I do feel the bible has many metaphors and that its up to us to find what we feel is the correct way. I do believe spirits roam the earth and there is also the possibility of reincarnation (not that I'd want that personally (reincarnation) ).
I believe the afterlife is very much real. Now, do I believe its a place in the clouds that everyone goes to that believed in Christ? Yes and no. I do believe there is a place called heaven. Where that heaven is? No one knows. My personal thought is that heaven is another dimension of the living state. We leave our physical body behind on earth and our essence/soul keeps living. The first law of thermodynamics, also known as Law of Conservation of Energy, states that energy can neither be created nor destroyed; energy can only be transferred or changed from one form to another. ... In other words, energy cannot be created or destroyed. (https://courses.lumenlearning.com/boundless-chemistry/chapter/the-laws-of-thermodynamics/)
So with that said our energy is still present even when our body has succumb to age or illness.
In regards to hell, I believe this to be the same situation. Your energy flows to good or evil. When this life is over, your energy will take the path of least resistance according to the way your energy was used. (For Christians this would mean heaven)
This is mostly my personal opinion and what I live by. I hope this gives you some food for thought.
