Magic Concerning Anubis

So, recently I have taken an interest in using power of gods in magick. More specifically, Anubis. If there is anyone here who has, or is following the path of Anubis or is well informed of it? Some of the things im wondering about are is it safe to follow his path, would it be considered black magick, and others. If you have any good information that you think would be helpful, please comment in this forum or send me a message in mail.

Anubis is a wonderful deity to work with. He is not at all associated with black magic of any kind. He is associated with guiding and guarding the souls of the dead. He would hold the scales on which the heart was weighed and if the heart was heavier than the feather it and the soul would be destroyed. If it were lighter, the soul would be led to Osiris and be allowed to live on in the afterlife.

He was viewed as the God of embalming and mummification. They (the Egyptian people) would pray to him for safe passage of their loved ones soul.

He is a good deity to work with when doing ancestral work and, from personal experience, is a wonderful deity to work with in general. I have worked with him for a few years now and find him to be a wonderful energy and presence to be around.

I would suggest starting out by learning as much as you can about Anubis and about how he was honored by the ancient Egyptians. Then you might begin to work with him by first creating an altar to him and making offerings for his favor.
