I'm going to get into a very deep vent about this. If you don't like what i have to say, message me personally.
People have been complaining about the fake spells on the site amd claiming that "they are here to teach new practitioners about the craft". No, that's not the case at all. The only reason the admin is keeping the "Fantasy spells" on the site is for ad revenue.
Spells on this site are generally added when belonging to a coven. There is a disclaimer at the bottom of the page that says
' * All information on this page is provided by the coven or person named and the contents of this page is not mediated by the administrators of the website. Please use common sense when following any directions on this page. Do not ingest anything which does not seem safe. If you suspect the content of this page to be intentionally deceiving pleasecontact usimmediately.'
As you can see the site does not outright support all information on the page and even says if you think it's intentionally deceiving to contact them.
As much as I loathe the fantasy spells, I think it would be just too much work to expect the mods to weed them out entirely. Furthermore, forcing the mods to do this might have them make decision regarding where the line is that hurts serious practitioners' crafts. I think the best course of action is to educate people trying to use fantasy spells as to why they're wrong. It's simply too much work to expect them to remove all traces of fantasy magic from the site, in my opinion.
It's not a matter of moderators/administrators not removing such content on a basis of "we want ad revenue." That's ridiculous really. As pointed out above, they do not have such control. Pet possibly does but it's also his site and he can do as he pleases.
When a person gets into a coven and reaches council member they can post spells. And there is a coven open for anyone that automatically places you at such a status meaning litterally anyone can get on here with an account and post pretty much anything they want. If the coven leaders (priest and priestess) can do anything that's up to them but I'd wager they can't; although, I personally can't verify that they can or cannot. As far as I know, the original poster can remove such content if they have council status in the coven they posted in.
Contrary wise, there is a minor subject of debatable controversy. in the fantasy sections there is material on draconian practices. Once it was a well established practice. Often very secretive. Then a lot of information got leaked. Then about everything just disappeared. it's difficult to find material on the subject and this site does have some good remnants. And like any other subject you just have to know what to weed out.
Truth be told, you are not the first to complain/vent about the matter. Probably won't be the last. I've seen plenty over the years and will continue to expres the best thing you can do is educate yourself, study, learn limitations of possibilities, and be a good guide for those who need it.
Ad revenue? Well it's not bad exactly and it doesn't really affect the users. It's just some extra money for the admin which I think is well deserved.

I don't understand brockaway you are so upset about the spells on here, in most cases with any authentic person who will submit a spell or even an article in most cases are seasoned persons who have dedicated themselves in magic and in most cases will post there own spells , and in some cases some people who submit are new in magic will potentially submit a spell that is fictional since they don't understand magic and are new that just need guidance to help groom them into better witches , you just have to handle spells that are not possible to the physical realm with a grain of salt and overlook them and not get upset
Fantasy spells have fooled many of the people I know and I have had to tell them that they're fake and of no real use. Many spells other than fantasy are also of the same nature. Not every spell on this site works which has already been put into the disclaimer. The users must use common sense and a little knowledge about magick in general before using any spells no matter what the rating.
