Fantasy magic

What’s the most fantasy book-like magic you can do? I know you can’t shoot bursts of light from your fingertips, but can you do things like turn into a mermaid or control the elements? What’s the most fantastical thing you can do with magic?

It is impossible to do any of the things you have listed.

Things I will contribute to being assisted by my magic practice are many areas of my emotional life being improved, as well as manifesting my current job and the house I recently purchased. Magic is change in accordance with will (at least my favorite definition of it), and such change can be an immediate result or a long process.

Magick is a natural energy that brings desired change. It only affects energy to attract/repel the desired outcome. If it contradicts nature, it doesn't work on the physical plane.

As for "how fantasy I can get" with magick, you can work with astral beings such as faeries, Dragons, werewolves, mermaids and so on. You can't become them, but you can call on them for guidance like some call upon angels, demons, deities, and other spirits.

Spells are more like ritualized prayers, you won't see anything "cool" happen when you cast, and it won't create a dramatic, instant, physical change.
