So basically I am in a complicated thing with this guy. A few months back we got to be very close and we both developed very strong romantic feelings for each other and had a fling. We wanted to be in a relationship with each other however he moved across the country a few months ago and it has been rough. The other night we were talking and ultimately decided that doing a long distance romantic relationship would be too much for the both of us. I really do like him but I think it is for the best that I cease my romantic feelings for him. That being said we both want to continue being apart of each other’s lives so I only want to get rid of my romantic feelings towards him but I want all the platonic love I have for him to stay so we can continue being friends. I have done some research on what sort of spell I should do for this situation and have been back and forth on doing a cord-cutting spell . I want to make sure though that it won’t cut him out of my life or get rid of any of my platonic love for him. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can tweak a cord cutting spell to ensure that or have any other spells in mind that you think might work better for my situation?? Any help/advice is greatly appreciated! :)
What I mean by that is instead of focusing on ridding yourself of romantic feeling, that perhaps instead you switch your focus onto developing platonic feelings via a spellwork method.
However be aware a spell itself is not going to change how you genuinely feel, but it may by concentrating on platonic centered thinking, help to encourage you towards at the least thinking in a more platonic based way.
This way you are more gentle with yourself and your more romantic feelings. Your not carelessly cutting or ripping your emotions. Besides honestly a cord cutting ritual is to help cut ties from a situation or individual. It's not going to rid you of how you feel. But, a friendship spell/s may help to focus your thinking upon another relationship possibility and dynamic and that is one of friendship.
I would recommend writing up a spell utilizing the color yellow at the least, yellow representing frienship, or blue again friendship and kindness, and if you'd like to add white as well you can, to represent purity of heart and intent.
A candle working could easily incorporate color. You can further add to the working by adding herbs or stones of friendship if you wish. You may want to look into some that represent this. Or, another idea would be to utilize clear quartz to try and give the working a boost. Quartz is a great ampliflier of all intents.
