The Witching Hour

An interesting topic that I haven't seen discussed on here in a while. I thought to bring it up and see what others have experienced or believe in regards to sleeping patterns and waking hours.

For as long as I can remember, I have always slept heavy but always wake around 2am. This is a groggy wake but I am fully aware and have great difficulty falling back asleep again. This is frustrating when I am heavily asleep and then suddenly come out of it, almost always around 2am.

So what is the meaning of it? (if any?) Some research suggests that this is the hour most spirits are active and since I am hypersensitive to the deceased, they might be trying to communicate. Others suggest that this is entirely biological and it has to do with my internal sleep cycle, having shorter cycles than average.

I would like to hear from you, what have you experiencedin this area and what are your thoughts or theories regarding the waking hour or witching hour?

There are many potential options, the most mundane being that your body has become used to doing it. There may have been a time in the past where something disturbed your sleep during this time of night regularly, after repeated exposure your body may have become accustomed to waking up at this time and continues it on long after the external cause is gone.

Hey, would just like to add on this. I have practiced magic and seen spiritual beings from a young age. I have stopped and ignored my gifts, until recently started my spiritual journey again. And since the decision was made in my mind not to quit again, I woke up every night 2am on the dot. So one night I did not sleep again and read on this site till morning. I definitely feel like the elements are more powerful that time.
