Past life/ spiritual name

I was reading some forums to see if there was anything I didn't know before that was explained and someone (RomanRuin) mention spiritual names and past life names. I was wondering how they knew that theirs was spirit runner and how you find out your past life name and/or find out your spiritual name. I know what I did in my past life and how I died and This is literally the only thing I don't know of myself if anyone can help

Sometimes spirits from past lives will come and visit you they may use the name that they knew you as.

I am not sure the name this spirit referred to me as was some type of name I used to hold or not.

That said I wouldn't rely on spirits, and names they may call you by.

Spirits are capable of lying.

In my case I believe this spirit called me by a name in a manner of making a biblical reference. The name was after all biblical. I believe this was done in relation to how the spirit tended to interact with me, more than the name actually being mine.

My suggestion for you is meditation. Guided meditations may help. I'd consider taking a deep dive into past life meditations and exercises.

I have done a little past life work. I did not delve too deeply into endlessly meditating upon possible lives. I did I recall try one past life guided meditation back in 2018.

Remember I find it better to meditate upon this yourself than to take any spirits references to you at face value.

In all honesty, names aren't that important anyways. Sometimes you may get some insight or inspiration through exploring the history or roots of certain names, their numerology, or even lexigramming. But it is comparable to relying on astrology when it comes to identity. IE; It is good gor learning about inclinations, but is not a source of definition. Time is better spent reflecting on the moments and choices that come to the surface and what they can teach you.

My own spiritual name of Spiritrunner was largely chosen, and only later did I slowly discover that is was a name I had chosen as a spiritual identity in previous lives as well. Even then, it was no more significant of a discovery than finding an old bottle cap at the beach.. Kind-of a neat find, pleasing to discover, then stuck in a pocket as I get back to what I was doing.

One thing to bear in mind about names, they are given to you by others at the time of your birth, often inspired by a number of factors. Some might say that inspiration is itself guided by karma, or their initial impressions of your energies, thanks to the influences of the stars and planets etc. But even then it was for that lifetime. Born under those stars with the goals you had at that time for that incarnation. Who you are now is different. With new goals and new stars to guide you. An older, more experienced soul undergoing a new role on the stage of life.

I like to think of past-life exploration as a period of review. Like in school where you spend a week of math class going over the previous year. Getting a chance to refresh your memory, to look back and check on what lessons stuck. Discovering what you might need to spend a little time getting refreshed on or otherwise give some extra attention to so you can deepen your understanding.

In the end if there is a significant desire or a meaningful benefit, over time patterns (like actions, choices, and even names) will emerge on their own. Try to not worry about it, and don't try to force things. Take in what emerges as you journey, write down thoughts and memories if you are so inclined, and observe the patterns as the years go by.

But we receive many names throughout our lives.

When we are born, a parent or grandparent gives us our name.

When we have our own children, they call us Mother or Father in whatever language is familiar to them. Our friends may rename us "nicknames" and our significant other may create "pet names".

They are all names, are they not?

What is in a name, truly? It's an identity that is personal to you and at least one other.

If you believe that our existence goes beyond this single life, then the names that we have had in that time span could be a scrolls length!

So no matter what a spirit calls you, or what you may remember down the road, remember that none of them truly define you, but rather, their significance lies in the relationships built self to self and self to others.

When you invocate or evocate a deity, it's an ancient tradition to call them by every one of their names. They even have secret names that only a small number of holy people would know. In the Egyptian story of Ra, his name was the power of life, and Isis tricked him into revealing it, and then stole this power.

So names hold power in their relationship with whatever they connect with. That's why it's very important, not only to chose carefully how you address yourself (never putting yourself down) but also, not agreeing to names from people or spirits that you wouldn't trust implicitly.

How do you find out such names? Experience. You collect them as you go through life and meet new souls. I can think of a dozen better things you can do with your time then chasing after past life names. Unless you are trying to call back that part of yourself, it has no purpose in the present. And unless you know everything about that name, you should not accept it as your own. It has no power over you unless you identify yourself with it.
