I am wanting to make an oil for a spirit I want to work with. What I want to do is put this oil on my pulse points each time I feel I need it. This spirit has solar energiesso I thought about putting golden glitter in it might be a cool idea to do. I never thought about using glitter in my magic butI am a little worried about one thing. As I said I wish to use this on my pulse points which correlate to my heart andblood. Would using glitter in my oil be a good thing to add if I want to use it on my pulse points?

Glitter could cause skin irritation, if you have sensitive skin. So there is always that concern. I'd also suggest using a carrier oil to dilute it, as pure essentail oil can also cause skin iritation.
Another thing to consider is that most if not all glitter isn't all that great for the environment either. I'm not sure what could be used as a substitute or if there is actually an environmentally friendly glitter out there though.
Glitter isn't environmentally friendly as it isn't biodegradable.
If you feel the spirit has solar energy a possibility you could try is adding dried sunflower or another solar correspondence plant that is safe for use and handling to the oil.
Dried dandelion is another example. My point is you don't need glitter that is gold to add solar correspondence.
Like stated mica powder is a environmentally sound material that can be used, simply be aware it will change the color of the oil, being a natural dye, glitter too can do this and is an option that is less safe skin wise, or more of an irritant.
Good luck with your oil. I hope this thread gave you a number of ideas and alternatives.

I agree with Prsona, Mica powder is a great natural glitter, as it's used in cosmetics and the FDA says it's safe for contact with the lips and around the eyes. One could also use edible gold flake smade from a sheet of edible gold designed for pastry decorating to add glitter to an oil used topically. Oils that are good for the heart chakra include, Frankincense, Sandalwood,Lavender,Ylan Ylang, Rose, and Lemon Balm. In addition one could place a small piece of Rose Quartz, Malachite, Amethyst, Jade, Rhodochrosite, or Aventurine in the oil to charge the oil will the essence of these healing crystals and stones that are specifically associated with the heart chakra. Citrine, Sunstone, Mookaite, Amber, and Tigers Eye are all sun stones and associated with the solar plexus chakra, these could also be stones or crystals to charge the oil with if one so chooses. In addition a charging plate may be used in conjunction with multiple stones to charge an oil, another magical creation,or tool. There are many possibilities to consider and think about as you move forward with your practice.
Many Blessings to you on your path,
Katie

Maybe look into good body glitter? Safe for body use and rather than bigger chunks it blends into the skin nice? Maybe you could find a gold colour highlighter in a make up shop to break up into it? Would look pretty in the oil and on the skin and wouldnt be too obvious?
