Kitsune

Does anyone know how I can connect with a fox spirit such as a kitsune? I have been curious about them for a long time now and can't seem to find much about them other than the obvious online. Has anyone ever interacted with one and connected with them on at least a small level?

Correct me if I'm wrong but a kitsune is a mythical creature from Japanese folklore that is often depicted as a fox with magical powers. Kitsune are believed to have shape-shifting abilities and can transform into human form. In Japanese folklore, kitsune are known for being mischievous and sometimes even malevolent. So you should proceed with caution. For starters do research into Japanese folklore. What do they like as offerings, what are signs of "nice" vs "not so nice" kitsune, how do you banish them if things are about to go wrong, how are you going to summon them? like use a sacred circle(in the sense of use protection magic to keep yourself safe from harm as if you use a sacred circle you won't be able to sense them since there's a "boundary" between you and the spirit.

In Shintoism, which is the indigenous religion of Japan, kitsune are sometimes seen as messengers or servants of the god Inari, who is associated with agriculture, prosperity etc. In some Shinto traditions, people may offer prayers or offerings to kitsune as a way of seeking the blessings of Inari. So you could look into Shintoism?
