This sounds interesting, I will try it when I get the chance.

This is not magic or a spell causing the flame to bend. Putting your hand over the flame simply causes the air pressure to change and thus to bend the flame.

It is highly unlikely you are moving the flame with Magik energy. Placing your hand by the flame would cause it to react because of the air flow surrounding it.
