Is smoking weed while your pregnant harmful to the fetus?

Okay so I'm not pregnant, just to clear the air on that. However a very close friend of mine is I think about 11 weeks but I'm not sure and she's been smoking cannabis daily. I keep telling her to stop cause it I can't see it being healthy for the baby at all but she says it's fine and that she knows people who've smoked throughout their pregnancies and their babies turned out normal and healthy.

I've done some research on google and my results aren't conclusive, one site said that pregnant women in Jamaica smoke and that their babies are actually born with more advantages than in women who don't smoke. But then all the health websites say it's harmful.

So if anyone has any knowledge on this subject please share.
