A couple of days ago, my coven had a seance. We were able to contact my grandfather. He told me that he is one of my spirit guides. Before we said goodbye, I asked him to help me when I do tarot spreads to communicate with spirits.

Last night I did my first tarot spread since the seance and I could feel the energy in the room increase. Although I wasn't doing a spirit communication spread (just a simple Past Present Future reading), I could feel his presence in the room with me.

This morning, I attempted to do a spread to communicate with my spirit guides. I called on my grandpa by name, asking him to come to the reading. Although the energy did slightly increase, it was nowhere near on the level of the other two times, nor did it linger for very long, as if he had come into the room and then immediately turned around and walked back out.

Is it possible for spirits to become tired from communicating with the physical plane? If so, how long does it normally take them to "recharge"? Is there any way that I can help him recover more quickly?
