trouble with third eye

i tried opening my third eye and was wondering if i opened it....are there signs that i have? i also am have trouble picturing auras....are there any special technics?

You should be aware of a presence at your brow when it happens, and if your head starts to hurt then it's working. I've tried also but I had a little trouble full opening it. Could you tell me your method? I need a correct one it seems. Also if you can see auras now, thats remarkable. But sadly I don't have any methods besides seeing your own. If you find out a method, plz tell me.

i relax and focus on my forehead... when i feel a presence i concentrate on it. after awile i can feel some form of energy.... i still cant seem to see auras properly though

i don't think my mind can wrap around the idea of an "egg shaped" aura...are they all egg shaped?

I usually tend to follow the Hindu teaching to open my third eye. To help open Ajna, or the third eye, I find that simply relaxing oneself through meditation and allowing the minds eye to "see" whatever worlds, shapes or forms manifest is a gentle way to awaken this chakra. If this is done with the intention of love, slowly, but surely, this oft dormant sense awakens.

You should not try to open or awaken your "third eye" just randomly, start with your "base" chakra, and work your way up. Otherwise, you create un-balance within your body, which just bring up more complications. Opening each chakra takes time, patience, and plenty of practice.

I will definitely agree with RhythmicNin that opening the third eye is a slow process. For so long I used to see grey mists, taking pseudo forms but ultimately dissolving into nothing, and with great frustration I may add.

I still can not actively see anything more than the etheric aura, which took me sometime to see, and only still only occasionally. I guess now I've just learned to be more patient of my development, after all, I'll hopefully have many more lifetimes to practise.

To open the third eye I found that trying to acquire a peaceful state of mind free from your daily worries is essential. I mean visualisation is difficult enough, without that bill that needs paying worrying you or your last game of modern warfare still running through your minds eye.
