I know this has been posted already but here is EVERYTHING you need to know about auras. It's a long read but worth it.
The third eye or anja charka is undoubtedly the most famous of all of the energy centers in the human body. It's even made its way into popular culture via musicians and comedians, most notably Bill Hicks who often told his audiences to squeegee your third eye by taking a heroic dose of magic mushrooms.
Most paranormal powers such as remote viewing and telepathy are associated with the third eye which have only added to its infamy in modern society. So how exactly do you go about opening your third eye and more importantly why would you want to in the first place?
There are many reasons, perhaps you want to develop psychic powers or see auras. Or maybe you just want a challenge. In the end of the day it doesn't really matter. What does matter however is that you feel you are ready to deal with any of the consequences that may arise from stimulating and opening your third eye!
In this article I'm going to describe a few ways that you can go about opening your third eye chakra, some of which you may already be familiar with and some of which you may not.
Visualisation
You best get comfortable for this one as it requires you to be very relaxed! It doesn't really matter whether you do this sitting down, lying down or standing up, as long as you remain focused and relaxed.
So get into position and close your eyes. Listen to what's going on around you. Listen to your breathing and your heart. Once your mind has stopped whirring, focus your attention on your forehead. It doesn't matter if you cannot visualise this as it is not important, in fact in some cases it might actually be beneficial as it can prove to be quite distracting.
Keep listening to what's going on around you and remain focused on how your forehead feels. If you can't feel anything at all, move your focus to any other part of the body. What do you feel in your arms and legs? Normally you'll be able to detect small increases or decreases in temperature when you move your focus around your limbs. Rather than thinking about what you can sense, feel what you can sense. Concentrate all of your awareness into that feeling and if it amplifies move back to your head.
It might take a while for you to actually begin to feel anything in your forehead but do not be discouraged. Keep your focus and keep your mind quiet. Sooner or later you will begin to notice small, sharp twinges in your head. If you are particularly sensitive you might be aware of a whirring sensation, as if someone has turned a light on or left an electric fan blowing. Keep focused and ignore any patterns or visuals that may appear behind your eyes.
As you continue to practice this you will notice that it becomes much easier to remain aware. You might even feel a pull or localised pressure on your forehead. This is the awakening of the third eye. Rather than becoming overwhelmed by excitement, remain still and do not label what you perceive. Experience the pressure and amplify it in your mind. If you notice any static or white noise, latch your awareness onto it and you will feel it beginning to pull you in.
With continued practice you will gradually notice the quality of your consciousness transforming. Nature will glow and everything will seem to be that little bit more vibrant. Your creative mind will expand and you will begin to see smaller objects merging into larger objects in your minds eye.
You might also notice the white noise I mentioned earlier becoming more prevalent in silence. Use it as an aid to lever your eye open all the more. Opening your third eye is a process not a direct result. You'll know you have succeeded when you stop perceiving your third eye and start perceiving through your third eye.
After all, what use is there in perceiving your own eyes? Isn't it their role to perceive?
Binaural beats
Binaural beat technology came to prominence in society in the mid 90's after the popularity of the internet exploded. The theory behind it is quite simple, you listen to a sound or a piece of music with the technology embedded within it, which subsequently sends different frequencies to each ear. Say for example a tone of 150hz is played in your left ear and one of 130hz is played in the right. Your brain will automatically create a new tone at 20hz, which is the difference in the frequency between the original two tones.
Why is this important? Studies indicate that certain abilities may be unlocked in the brain when it is subjected to tones at extremely low frequencies. Since we are unable to detect noises below 20hz, these will fail to have an impact upon the brain unless binaural beat technology is employed.
Many applications offer support for binaural beat technology today and it is possible to download presets which are dedicated to opening the third eye. Some of these can be quite hit and miss at times so it is best to experiment and see what actually works for you.
Brainwave Generator is something that I have quite a bit of experience with. It is possible to download all sorts of presets for it which are finetuned to stimulate a certain part of your energy body or develop a psychic ability. The true power of the software lies in the ability to create your own presets which means you can produce something that is designed and tailored specifically for you.
In terms of existing presets you might want to try Chakra Stimulation and Balance along with All Chakra Frequencies to help with opening your third eye.
A similar tool can be found in World of Alternatives which is something I've just got started with recently and I've been impressed with the results thus-far. The only thing about it is the cost of the presets which is a bit offputting. Saying that I had success with the Remote Viewing plug-in which was quite weird to say the least as it was something I was very skeptical about beforehand - having had no favourable results with the Brainwave Generator presets that I tried. Before I try anymore of the WOA plugins I'm going to try-out more of the Brainwave Generator patches to see if they really do compare with it.
What I've found in the past is that you can increase the effect of binaural beat technology by combining it with a number of the other approaches I've mentioned here or by devising your own! New Energy Ways works extremely well with it.
New Energy Ways
Robert Bruce's New Energy Ways focuses on envigorating and empowering the energy body as a whole rather than simply working on one part of it. To use an analogy, a weight lifter stands more chance of injuring himself if he only works on one of his major muscle groups particularly if he has only started training after a prolonged period of inactivity.
Similarly if you only work on opening your third eye then you run the risk of throwing your body off balance, resulting in your practice having more negative effects than positive ones. For that reason it's probably best to start off with something that will give you a "total body workout" and there isn't much of a better way that to use New Energy Ways. Besides, its free and it's used by lots of people around the world.
Seeing Auras is actually a lot easier than you might have expected and you can get started today without paying anything. Well you'll have to pay attention here. But that's about it!
Why would I want to see auras in the first place?
I've found that there is a major connection between the frequency and intensity of dreams and the viewing of auras. And it works both ways. I think both go hand and hand and are symbolic of mental/spirtual progress. Learning to see Auras may well help if you feel you are getting nowhere with dream recall.
Are you ready to start? Good. Here goes.
Try to approach this with an open mind. A healthy critical awareness is exactly that, healthy. If you go in thinking that you have no chance of seeing anything then you probably will not. Try not to place an judgement on what you are seeing, whether your judgement is positive or negative in nature. This shouldn't be about why you are seeing auras but about how. Look on them as if they were a rainbow..... I suspect I'm getting a bit ahead of myself. To rewind to the beginning.
Find a brightly decorated wall in your home, white is preferable but by no means necessary, it will just make the process easier. When I first started I used a white wall in my room and hung up one of my shirts on the nearest thing I could find in front of it. Which in my case was the handle of an open cupboard door. Anything will do as long as it is a comfortable height for you.
Once you have your object hung up in front of the bright surface stand away from it at a minimum distance of 3 feet and just look at it. It is important at this point to remind you to ensure no-one else is about at this time as it can be quite embarassing if someone walking in on you, standing there gazing at a shirt.
The chances are that after a while you will not see anything and will give up. Do not. Just continue to look at it as if your eyes were headlights. Don't focus on a specific point on the shirt in particular, just stand and look in its direction.
How do I know if I'm doing well?
Well if you are standing there for more than 10 minutes thats an excellent sign as the key to seeing auras is patience!
With any luck you will begin to notice a small flare of light spreading out from the object within approximately half an hour. When you shift your focus this light will disappear and you'll probably feel extremely frustrated as it will have taken quite a while for you to see this in the first place. Do not worry. Keep trying. With practice the light will stay around the object for longer and the light should get brighter too.
If you still can't see anything around your object - do keep trying. As with any skill in life some people will experience great difficulty in trying to develop this ability. You might want to follow the guidelines below to try to enhance your progress.
If you wear glasses, try taking them off before focusing on the object. This is something I had to do before progressing onto human auras and it aided my auric sight immensely.
Try this exercise just before sunrise. I've found that the soft light around this time makes viewing auras much easier than it is normally.
Look after yourself. Make sure you are getting enough sleep and are eating well. Regular exercise in the form of nature walks, can seriously enhance your progress.
Where to go from here
Once you have learnt the basic skill I outlined earlier you can then apply it to anything. Be warned that viewing human auras tends to be surprisingly difficult in comparison with inaminate objects. It does depend quite a bit on the lighting. For example I have great difficulty in seeing my own aura during normal daylight. However when it comes to sunrise I can see it almost perfectly.
Obviously my auric sight isn't as strong as it could be and it's something I'm continuing to develop all of the time with the aid of various books and discussions with others.
Remember, persistance is key!
READING AURAS
The Aura is the ever present electromagnetic that reflects our health, mental and emotional state. It consists of a number of different colors which reportedly originate from the chakras. The dominant chakras generate the color of your aura and each color has significance on a certain level.
To make this a little more interactive picture ten colors in your mind: red, orange, green, blue, black, yellow, indigo, violet, black, brown, white. Chose the one you feel most drawn to and read on! (you might want to have a look around your home/wardrobe beforehand to see if there are any colors which appear repeatedly.)
White - this is associated with having a high spiritual level and symbolizes the eternity.....at least in in the West. In the East it resembles Death. The negative aspect of this color is the person's desire for too much liberty and sometimes it blinds the person to get rid of the obstacles. It is also closely related to purity and kindness.
Black - a black aura often means that the person is insecure and are looking for refuge. It can also be interpreted as symbolising negativity and pessimism. To get this colour out of your aura should start to try to think more positively.
Red - red is characterized by a strong will and/or a raging sexual desire. People who have red auras tend to be self-centered, impatient and have a great will-power. A red aura can also mean that the person with it has a desire for material things and values their image more than their soul.
Yellow - this color represents a strong intellect and also a great desire for knowledge. People who have this aura want to communicate and learn many things however they tend to be distracted a lot. They also don't get attached to anything; they are very generous and try to be as free as possible.
Orange - this is the color of joy and happiness. People with an orange aura are independent, very lively but also tend to dominate others. Open to changes, these people can become depressed and irritated. They will try tosucceed by any means and have a great urge to achieve power and success.
Green - green means balance and growth. It is characterized by harmony and peace but it can also lead to jealousy and envy. Green can also be seen to mean that you want to contact your inner feelings and wishes.
Blue - very sensitive people with a desire to harmonize everything but can be prone to bouts of lethargy. People with a blue aura don't like fights and try to solve every conflict in a diplomatic way.
Violet - the most sensitive people, they tend to escape the material world and concentrate on meditation. These people are usually very modest and tend to have healing abilities and high spiritual energy.
Indigo- This color is related to ESP (extra sensory perception) and people who have an indigo aura are very gifted and they should aim to improve their existing paranormal abilities. Indigo also symbolizes integrity and spirituality. Most psychics have an Indigo aura.
