rune stones

I'm currently having a debate with myself over which set of runes to buy. I would like to purchase either the clear quartz, carnelian, or blue onyx rune set but i just cant seem to decide. Every time I finally decide on a set i go back to one of the others and change my decision. what do you guys think?

Make your own it is easy and you will make them to you particular liking.

Making your own is the best but if your set on those three gemstones, I'd pick carnelian. Red is a power color for runes due to the fact that they are/were commonly drawn in blood. Its a stone that awakens inspiration, so using it to divine would be beneficial. It is also a stone of protection, so if you choose to use them to construct a physical circle around yourself, it would also be helpful to the cause. Carnelian is an energy stone, therefore it will add energy to the runes themselves if charged properly.

I personally use an adventurine gemstone rune set that I've had for 12 years. It's my favorite ones to use for divination. When I use runes in magick I will engrave them myself.

I like the gemstone ones for divination because gemstones pick up and hold personal energy extremely well, which make them easier to utilize in divination because that connection to them is strong (like an extension of oneself).

When you get your gemstone set, cleanse/purify them well, charge them individually, holding the rune, focusing on its meaning, and say its name (trace the rune with your finger as you invoke it). Then carry them around with you for at least a week and sleep with them under your pillow or near you. Never let anyone handle your runes other than yourself. They can touch them but don't let them use them or borrow them.
