I am friends with a spirit named James, and it wasn't until about seven or eight years ago did he reveal himself and started communicating with me. He said he had always been looking after me, even before I became aware of him. He has saved my life and my hid many times.
How often is it that people have spiritual guardians of some form? Is it common or unusual for them to contact you without you first contacting them?
Everyone's experience of their guides are different. Because of this being so unconventional, though, it's difficult get a survey about it with enough people that we can get an idea of what's usual or unusual. It's ALL unusual.
Some people with spirit guides believe that everyone has spirit guides, some people have imaginary friends as children that they don't grow out of, some people try to contact their spirit guides and get the reaction of "FI-nally!" like that guide has been waiting to be discovered, and sometimes they appear first.
Spirits interact with mortals of their own accord, the experiences aren't usually the same, for everyone most likely has a different spirit guide. The spiritual realm is difficult to understand, not even I can fully grasp how to understand it. Spirit guardians can contact you whenever they feel I suppose, although some people can contact them first, no doubt relative to said person.
How do you tell if he's an ancesteral(pardon my spelling) spirit? The name he told me and that I call him by isn't a family name or related to my family in any way. Maybe he was a family friend or someone of that nature? If not, maybe he just happened to take interest in me when I was a kid or something? Not sure of how spirit guides select the people they watch over/are selected for people(don't think anyone is though.)
Hahaha you my friend have a spirit guide aka a spirit guardian for most people it takes time for them to find them as it may vary one on your perception of them and what they are. Some people have angels, some humanoid beings, etc. Perception on them can change though most are what they say.. usually. It is normal to find one if your a very open or spiritual person things is as kids we are told they are just ''imaginary friends'' but imaginary friends dont give life lessons or guidance which is how you can differiantiate conscious illusion and something REAL something you can feel and experience. I'd say you have a friend for life just the same like I do.
Make sure to not give of his name though maybe he hasnt even told you his full out real name as some names are real strange mine didnt tell me till way later which I was kind of dumb enough to give out his alias a lot so I am glad hes away from harm cause of that as some people can harm your guides. Also spirit guides are always there answering your question and its common like I said before :) just need a spark of openness and spirituallity.
I was just with a friend having lunch and I came across this post! She told me a story of how she came into contact with a Ouija board around the age of seven, I'm not 100% sure on the details of what transpired on that day, but what she did tell me was that ever since she has felt this presence connected to her.
Although this presence was not negative or threatening in any way, she told me of times where she had been in danger either through an abusive ex boyfriend or by some other indirect way. And has been saved either by the presence making a door slam or an object fly, just little things.
It has been known that sprits can attach themselves to humans, either because they have some kind of connection to the person either from their current or past life. These spirits tend to be our guardians, they can be very helpful and useful to have around, in fact most people do have old relatives or spirit guides with them!
I don't feel threatened by my friend at all. I actually feel safer around him, so I am pretty sure he is a guardian. He helps me pretty much everyday. However, sometimes he will bug me and try to annoy me for the fun of it. Then again, friends do that to each other so I do it to him too.
