Hello everyone
Is there anyone who can teach me something about demonology or The Dark Arts, please if yes message me because im confused with this world because there are so much things that i dont even know what i true and not true anymore..
Have you seen the Book of Goetia post I made? Otherwise some basics:
1) The name demon comes from the Greek word "Daemon" or "Daimon", meaning "Spirit" or "Genius".
2) Demonology is the study of Demons, Daemonolatry is the worship of Daemons (or alternatively a way of interacting with the Daemonic in a respectful manner, choosing to honor them instead of constrain, command, and exorcise them).
3) Not all Daemons are evil, only the ones considered Cacodaemons are actually against mankind and various other beings.
4) Other kinds of Daemons are Agathodaemons which are helpful, and Eudaemons which serve the Greater Good
5) There is no universal organization of Daemons, unlike Angels which have their 9 Choirs, so their actual structure is based upon where you are pulling your information from.
6) Some notable sources on Demonology are: the Ars Goetia (from the Lesser Key of Solomon or Lemegeton), the Dukante Hierarchy, Collin DePlancy's Dictionaire Infernale, and even Pope Honorius III who was also a Demonologist.
7) Each Grimoire has a different structure but with some reoccurring names and positions. A good source for more information on these hierarchies would be either the grimoires themselves which have PDF's, or sites such as this: http://www.ocult-ro.com/2012/01/demonolatry-basics.html
Another system you will likely encounter are the Qliphoth, which are the dark twins of the Sephiroth from the Kabbalistic Tree of Life. The Qliphoth themselves and their rulers are:
Thaumiel ruled by Moloch and Satan (whatever you view Satan as),
Chaigidel ruled by Beelzebub,
Satariel ruled by Lucifuge Rofocale (often considered among the highest ranking royal in many Infernal Hierarchies),
Gash Khalah ruled by Astaroth,
Golachab ruled by Asmodeus (a name that often appears many times throughout the Grimoires),
Thagirion ruled by Baalpeor (or possibly Belphegore, who is also considered the Cardinal Prince of Sloth which was originally broken down into Acedia, Apathy and Sluggishness, and Tristitia, or Debilitating Sorrow),
Oreb Zaraq ruled by Baaltzelmoth (or Baalzemoth although that name closely resembles Baalzephon which is one of the original "Ba'al"s of the Canaanites),
Samael ruled by Adramalek (often spelled Adramelech in most Grimoires where in the Dictionaire Infernale He is the Chancellor of the Infernal Empire and High Councilor of the Infernal Council),
Gamaliel ruled by Lilith Savta (traditionally just Lilith, the one who would not submit to Adam and is often considered the mother of Daemons, though this particular aspect is not universal in the Occult or even Demonologist community),
and lastly Nahemoth ruled by Nahema (or Na'amah, seducer of Solomon, also considered a powerful seductress).
For more info and how to use this system of the Qliphoth I would reccomend the Book of the Sitra Achra by Ixaxaar which is available online in pdf form.
The difference between Daemonology and Demonology is that Daemonology is the study of dark spirits from the perspective that they are not inherantly evil, and Demonology is the study of dark spirits from the perspective of someone who is gaining tactical information about them in the event that one should have to encounter and banish them.
