I am having a difficult time letting go of my anger, as a result my dark side is becoming dominate. If you looked at me you would never guess, but I'm constantly wishing curses on this one and that one instead of just letting go. I honestly don't like myself very much at the moment because of it. I've tried meditation and even vitamins/herbs, but nothing is working. Any suggestions, it doesn't necessarily have to be a spell.
You can always try to use a black candle ( absorbs negativity ) or a white candle ( more for cleasing ) and " link " them to your energy.
Just visualize your anger going to the candle ( while you hold it ), now light the candle and imagine the anger slowly burning has the candle burns down. Allow the candle to burn down ( with supervision ) and then burry the wax outside and ask the Earth to eliminate it.
If it doesn't work at the first time or anything, don't get frustrated. Spells do take time to work. Some take a little bit, some take a long time. In the meantime try to get your mind off of that anger, go do a hobby per example.
I've dealt with anger a lot, tempted by seeking revenge....a lot of times, thought I didn't do it...I tried other ways to deal with it and let it go. For me the first step was to understand the behavior of others (who have done me harm) and realizing where their behavior comes from, trying to view it from their perspective in a state of 'depolarization'(see also https://youtu.be/oT6CjWIy0n4?list=PLWL-f1YBw48NKF1PasvuAM5oyiT73A12i for info about depolarization)
The next step was forgiving them, which is very difficult but in my opinion necessary if you want to let go the anger. You can write down the names of the ones who have done you harm, and also write on the paper 'I forgive you'.You can do this as many times as necessary while visualizing all the things they did that made you angry. You can burn the notes with a (black) candle in a ritual.
Also I've read a story I'd like to share:
One day the Buddha was walking through a village. A very angry and rude young man came up and began insulting him. "You have no right teaching others," he shouted. "You are as stupid as everyone else. You are nothing but a fake!"
The Buddha was not upset by these insults. Instead he asked the young man, "Tell me, if you buy a gift for someone, and that person does not take it, to whom does the gift belong?"
The young man was surprised to be asked such a strange question and answered, "It would belong to me, because I bought the gift."
The Buddha smiled and said, "That is correct. And it is exactly the same with your anger. If you become angry with me and I do not get insulted, then the anger falls back on you. You are then the only one who becomes unhappy, not me. All you have done is hurt yourself."
I would recommend talking to a counselor, personally.
I have tried doing magick for anxiety and depression. Same as magick cannot cure cancer, it cannot cure mental illness. If your anger is a result of one, magick isn't going to get rid of it.
Meditation along with counseling might be helpful. Doing a spell to make the counseling as effective as possible might be a good idea, as well.
For one, stop wishing curses. That is choice, and you do have power of choice.
Now, anger being a negative to you, learn to ground. This will give it to Mother Earth, and not keep it inside you.
Meditate. I have one on my profile that is simple to get you started. Learning to focus will be very helpful to you.
After practicing focus, you can now meditate to breathe in positive and breathe out negative. Find a place where you can sit undisturbed for 10-15 minutes. Close your eyes and listen to your breathing. Take control to slow your breathing as you become more relaxed. Enjoy the calmness of your body.
Start with this, and learn more on letting go, and forgiveness. You have the power. You just need to learn to use it.
Blessings...
