Shadows of Solitary Witches Welcomes You! Here's a party hat!

Shadows of Solitary Witches is re-opening after a period of inactivity with new people, new goals, and a new car ! We're just a bunch of loons who decided to carve out a space where we can comfortably express ourselves. We tend to surprise each other at the end of the day with what we can learn from each other.

If you find spewing words at people and having other words spewed back at you fun, you have stumbled on the right hermit-hole. If you have come here for wild dancing and plotting the end of regurgitated behavior by the light of your desk lamp, then you've still come to the right place. If you enjoy silly behavior and simultaneous learning ... you get the idea. This is a place to relax, express yourself freely, and do what you want to do within our home.

What we actually do and talk about depends entirely on what each member wants, and so the topics we cover here are ever changing and evolving like ourselves. So far, we've got altered states of consciousness, hearth and home magic, healthy recipes, an online shrine to deities some of us worship, a scribble board, a library, and a fiendish desire for pasta. And yes, we realize the pasta-love and healthy recipes board conflict.

Join Our Den!

Since you've decided to read this much and may be considering hermit-ing alongside us, there are some things you should know. We joke a lot, we make pop culture references, we know the difference between fun and legitimate practice, and we want to further ourselves in our practices and our understanding of the hot mess that is reality. Everything else is up to each of us to bring to the table. What do you want to bring?

Let us know by mailing an application in to the Priest/ess telling us things like who you are, what you want out of a coven, your aspirations and dreams in life, your spiritual/religious/magical practice or path, and how many marshmellows you can stuff into your mouth. Whatever information you think will paint us a picture of who you are as a person.

Congratulations on the re-opening of the Coven! I remember this Coven having quite a number of people as well back in the day. Nice to see it alive again with a Great Priestess!

Absolutely, Percy. It's true that we're always looking for and accepting new members into our Hermit Hole. We all love discussing magic, practices, and lots of perspective sharing and of course, a healthy dose of pasta and kinship along with a good portion of laughter. Many of us are pretty comfortable in our own paths and practices and are able to easily discuss and express them, so we are a community for the experienced and the new. We are a community of hermity hermits, and we welcome you!

Please try to be descriptive! The longer and more thought out your application is - the higher your chances of getting accepted. One or two sentences doesn't tell us a whole lot about you as a person. What's important? What should we know?

It also helps us get to know y'all when you introduce yourself as if you were introducing yourself to another person rather than applying to a group. Before writing, maybe take a moment and talk about things in your head and then put that to paper; just relax, be yourself, and get to know us while we get to know you. c:

Just wanted to update a bit on our coven:

We have been starting to focus more on group-oriented activities. We have played Cards Against Humanity together. We are planning on doing bi-weekly chatter discussion nights. We also have planned for watching movies together monthly. In the future, with more group participation, we hope to incorporate even more fun together so we can all bond as a group.

Do you like random dance-wars?

Do you like alternating between deep discussion and random fun?

Do you have an insatiable hunger for pasta?

Just posting an update here. We had closed the coven off from accepting new applications for awhile. We are now re-opening the coven and will take applications again.
